POWDER RETURNS
Greetings gang! I hope this finds you all doing well. Things in the mountains are, well, thrilling. If you have not gotten out there yet, what are you waiting for? Conditions continue to improve with each snowfall. This last snowfall brought the seasons best conditions to both Eagle and Summit counties. Now is the time to get out there.
Colorado Blue Bird Day!
Snow still on the trees.
Sun starting to rise over the mountain.
Larkspur in the distance.
Hello Mr. Sunshine.
Beautiful Colorado Landscapes, still needs some snow but looking better!
Looking good.
Clouds making an appearance on a blue bird day.
Is that a T-P I see?
Larkspur express lift and run shown.
What a week it’s been in the mountains…
Two concerts, powder and blue bird days, oh my. Best blue bird day so far of the 2017/2018 season by far. Close to as good as it gets.
CRB
Did I tell you I saw Chris Robinson Brotherhood at Agave in Avon, CO. This was a trill, even though it didn’t technically include a mountain. CRB had the crowd rocking. This show rocked. If you have not seen or heard about this band, you must be dead. Just kidding, but seriously check these guys out because they are just continuing to get bigger.
Whistler Blackcomb
As I mentioned last post, I decided to see how the skiing was in Canada and traveled to Whistler-Blackcomb. The mountain is no joke and the views, well, see for yourself…
Not much snow in the distance but don’t let that fool you, it was still good!
The locals shared that there is almost always lingering fog.
And when we got higher we could see that they were right.
Snow capped mountains poking through the sea of fog.
Now that’s a nice peak!
Those are some serious snow-covered rocks!
Snow as far as the eye can see!
Have you met mountain girl? She is about to dip into the misty abyss.
Nice runs!
Some low lying fog hanging around.
Jerry checking himself out in Canada.
Blue in the distance through low-lying cloud cover.
Some glades and rocky steeps.
Now that is amazing!

SOS….SAVE OUR SEASON
And to the reader who sent me the formula for pure bliss…
Fresh snow + adventurous spirit + altitude = Joy
The snow part of the equation should have an exponent
Now if I could just trademark, bottle and sell it. Life is a dream.
Received these emojis this week
🍺👍😾
Very cool. Thank you. And this is so true…
You have to be all fired up
Anytime it snows, I’m like a kid in a candy shack.
But really, when you are in the middle of it it’s more like this…
Very peaceful
There was much more feedback this week. Thanks again for being an engaged reader. We are in this together. Snow or no snow.

Olympics
The 2018 Olympics have begun. Competition is underway as I write. Watch the worlds best winter athletes for the next two weeks in Pyeongchyang. Check your local tv listings for viewing schedule. I am sure you can find countless hours of viewing from NBC.
SNOW
Snow conditions are changing for the better. The end of January and February have brought much-needed snowfall. Conditions are the best they have been all season. Don’t believe me? Get out on the mountain and check it out for yourself.

Fierce.
Going up anyone.
Like the jacket. Black neon color, Jerry approved.
Looking good lady…
Ah new boots …enjoy.
In a ski town, probably true. Better not drink more than a round though. Drinks are expensive.
Great sunset with mountains in the back.
