Greeting friends, I hope this blog finds you doing well. My time in the mountains is well under way. I’ve already had some great days on the mountain. No complaints here, just gratitude. I am so very grateful for all the opportunity that has come my way and thankful to those that have helped and continue to support me along this journey. I had a great opportunity to visit Mammoth Mountain for the first time. What an amazing mountain; Mammoth. Here’s some pics . . .Enjoy
1/5 – The drive from Reno
On the road again. I see some white stuff Must be getting closer now. Into the abysis I go Wow. I may need the chains. So close. YEA BABY
1/6 – Mammoth Mountain – Launching from Canyon Base Area

not to far from the front the line becomes massive when will they open

Storm has really started to roll in on days end.
1/7 – Storm Totals 3-4.5feet

Natural chute Found a nice line How it’s done Almost all the way down Looking back up

Views for miles And miles

1/8 – Mammoth Mountain – Top finally open, I’m not feeling well today though. Not good. Made for a tough day for me.
JUNE MOUNTAIN
1/9 – June Mountain – another first. Epic powder day conditions. One of 12 people on the mountain. Wow, a little cray cray for sure. Enjoy, I sure did.
old school lift front side needs more made it
Freshie all to myself Flat-light but fresh ’bout a foot fresh on top Davos Drop

Great call man Epic day w/ these two
It snowed on and off all day. This was truly an epic day. An empty mountain with fresh tracks being refilled all day long. Sic

1/10 – Mammoth Mountain – Blue-Bird Day conditions. Some amazing lines on my last day. This mountain offers some really great above tree line skiing and riding.

Seriously, you can get hurt or even worse up here. Heed all advise and warnings.

Big shout out to my hosts over at Mammoth. They showed me that this mountain has big world class mountain skiing and riding. Anyone who wants to ride or ski huge lines should look right at the face of Mammoth Mountain. This resort has the steeps, chutes, trees, some mandatory air, and even some groomers (if that’s your thing). This town still has so much more room for growth, so it will be interesting to see what the next 5,10 & 20 years hold for this awesome California town. I can’t wait to get back myself.
READER FEEDBACK, COMMENTS & PICS

FEEDBACK
It’s always nice to receive feedback from out reader. You guys have some great one liners and have your hands on pulse in the mountains. So keep sending us anything. We really do appreciate it. Anyting is better than nothing. So here’s what some of you had to say since our last post:
From one reader:
Great pictures. Love em.
Thank you. Still love this one:
Wow. Look at the snow and the people.
Yup. Good Snow = Lot of People. But it didn’t change to views as one reader put it . . .
Just beautiful. Like a beautiful ski day. Lot of snow.
We like lots of snow 🙂 . . .and as one loyal reader put it . ..
It is f’ing magnificent.
You are not alone in that feeling.
Grey sky and u look cold
Lots of shades of grey out their. It was cold.
Do it now or you will just be one year older when you do.
This guy gets it
It is a fun atmosphere
It sure is. Add some fresh pow to the fun atmosphere and the conversation really takes off. People literally go gaga over the fresh stuff. As one guy put it
HOLY POWDER
And when they see it
Oh my looks like fresh powder.
Yes, yes it is. And whomever sent this was spot on
Wow conditions look amazing
Well they don’t suck . . . that’s fa sure. And people do ask this, when you don’t know you don’t know . . .
Do you ski in powder that deep?
Every chance I get.
And from my friend who was one of the many who helped this last pow run:
We scored
It’s powder. Oh the joy. And it’s not about keeping score, cause nobody cares, really. It’s life. It’s yours mine and everyone else’s. Powder comes with many sacrifices, but it is nice to bring out the snorkel a bunch during a season.
Again, thanks for everything. You guys rock.
COMMENTS
SNOW CONDITIONS
The conditions right now are really good, really, really good. Snow has fallen; practically everywhere. Coverage is great. Most resorts are fully operational now; many with 100% of terrain open. Yup, you read that correct. Everything is open, nearly everywhere. Snow quality is mixed, with some places getting the softer lighter stuff and others getting the heavier stuff. It doesn’t really matter, it’s still awesome. Enjoy it while it lasts.

It’s really good right now. THE THRILL OF THE MOUNTAIN AWAITS YOU. #POWDER2THEPEOPLE
