So you are considering whether or not to go on a ski trip. Maybe you want to go on a family vacation or have a romantic getaway with your partner. However, there’s one main thing preventing you from booking your trip: not everyone going on this trip wants to ski. Perhaps your partner is not so much the adventurous type and wants a more relaxing trip. Or maybe your kids are too young to go skiing, so you are worried about them getting bored. Maybe everyone going on the trip wants to ski, but doesn’t want to spend the whole time doing just that. Well, let me put your mind at rest because there are tons of things to do on a ski trip other than skiing. I’ve compiled just some of the wonderful activities you can embark on during your trip!
1. Snowshoeing

This is the perfect activity for those looking to trek through the snow in a less nerve wracking manner than skiing. All you need is some snow shoes, which can easily be rented, and you can head out to enjoy the snow and beautiful trees
2. Grab a warm drink

It can get pretty cold in the winter time, and you’re going to want something to warm you up! Check out your hotel or resort’s bar or head into town to find a local cafe, and grab a delicious beverage. Hot chocolate is the perfect treat for kids (and adults too, of course), but you can also indulge in a spiked version if you are feeling up for it.
3. Check out the local attractions

Venture out a little bit and check out the local stores and restaurants. During the wintertime, stores will be filled with holiday decorations and knick knacks to add to your collection.
4. Sit around a fireplace
Looking for some family bonding time or to cuddle up with a loved one? When booking your lodging for the trip, make sure to find a place with a cozy fireplace set up to bundle up near.
5. Thermal pools and hot tubs
Still not warm enough yet? See if your resort has a hot tub you can relax in. Or see if there are any thermal pools nearby where you can lay back in some steamy, warm water while gazing at the magnificent mountains around you.
6. Play in the snow

Do you want to build a snowman? Do it! Embrace your inner young child and play around in the snow, have a snowball fight, and live it up!
7. Dog sledding
Are you an animal lover? Do you want a chill day taking in the snowy scenery around you? Then dog sledding is the perfect activity for you. Schedule a tour, and let some beautiful dogs guide you through the snow.
8. Snowmobiling
If you are itching for an adrenaline rush, snowmobiling might be the perfect choice for you! Zoom through the snow and trees, and take in the moment.
9. Check out local nightlife
Ski resorts are surrounded by bars and clubs to kick back and treat yourself at. After a long day of adventurous activities, enjoy a drink and some live music.
10. Chill out at the resort
You don’t even have to leave the comfort of your own home to have a good time on your ski trip! Play some games with your family, grab dinner at your resort’s restaurant, and make life-long memories with your loved ones.
