A Spring Break trip in March 2019 to Cypress Mountain, Whistler Blackcomb, Revelstoke and Crystal Mountain…

March 11 – 15, 2019: Here are my adventures!

Cypress Mountain hosted the 2010 Winter Olympics

Whistler Blackcomb is reported as the largest ski resort in North America, with 4,757 skiable acres and a 5,020 feet of vertical and 37 lifts – Whistler is huge by any measure. Whistler Blackcomb hosted the 1968 Winter Olympics.

This is the Peak 2 Peak Gondola
The Peak 2 Peak Gondola (until 2017) held the world record for the longest span between ropeway towers – 1.88 miles. Only 4 towers support the cables. It is still the highest point above the group for any Gondola, at 1,430 feet. Some Gondola cars have glass floors, but you are allowed to choose. The overall length is 2.73 miles.
Yes, it is a long way down. All 1,430 feet off the ground.
Nice view of the lake in the distance
Any one of the 28 gondola cabins will offer views just like this one.
Blackcomb Glacier

Revelstoke opened in 2007, making the ski resort one of the newest ski resort, and at 5,620 vertical feet, the longest vertical descent of any ski resort in North America.

Revelstoke’s North Bowl from the highest of the three bootpack/traverses
Frozen Waterfalls along Revelstoke’s North Bowl gully run-out (trail run: Big Woody) en route back to the “The Ripper” chairlift. This is an all-natural half-pipe with incredible berms to surf the walls of the gully.
Skiing just outside of the Revelstoke gates into Greeley Bowl, which might be consider a close suburb of North Bowl.

Crystal Mountain is the place for some of the most incredible mountain views that mother nature can muster and the place to just relax and taken in the magnificent views of Mount Rainier.

This is all 14,411 foot elevation Mount Rainier, as seen from the top of Crystal Mountain
