Greeting friends. I hope this post finds you doing well and in good spirits. I write this post with snow banks higher than my head just outside. The Miracle March snow train continues with dump after dump. Historic snowfall conditions have been seen in so many areas this winter. Extreme, as well as historic, avalanche danger has been identified throughout much of the high country of Colorado. It’s snow crazy out there currently.

The last 10 days have been awesome. I’ve been surrounded by great friends and family. The mountains, combined with amazing people brings awesome energy. I am thankful for everything!

The proof is in the pics. Check out all the smiles, from ear to ear Here you go . . . pics from 2/28-3/5

FEEDBACK, COMMENTS, VIDS& PICS

Once again we continue to receive some very entertaining feedback. You sent us a little bit of everything. We received replies on FB and IG as well as the website WWW.THRILLOFTHEMOUNTAIN.COM
You sent us texts, emails, notes, emojis and emoji-cons. Thank you. We are grateful for anything we receive and send thanks to those who send us stuff, anything. Keep it coming my friends. Here’s some of what you sent to us this week:

I’m ready to experience the Thrill of the Mountain

Hop on board the bus. The Thrill of the Mountain awaits you. Always get asked about the skiing and still never tire of compliments on the pics. Thank you. . .received this from one reader

Love the pics!! How’s the skiing?

and this reader was wishing us good vibes per this message:

Hope today was +++

The skiing and riding continue to be phenomenal. As always you must be careful and keep your head on your shoulder and make sure you can locate it. Dislocation . . no good. I think that’s what this reader is referring to:

Me and Air lost touch, I’m blaming Air.

Trying to defy the laws of gravity can be both a humbling and painful experience. That being written, there are some of us who can soar to heights like none other. The rest of us are better off with both feet on the ground.

Now if you are one of the special ones that can fly, I already know your answer to this:

Ready for the chutes?

Don’t you have a job? People who have jobs don’t ride the Chutes. I already know, you were born ready. So was I. So yes, I am ready for the chutes. Anyway, enjoyed this reply from a reader who was on our text thread:

I’m not sure who is on this tread . . . but I can deduce 3 things . . CM MAN is there . . you’re in the snow . . and I am F-ing jealous to be missing out.

You missed a good one, but you don’t know what you don’t know. But we did receive this . . .

Why, what a great trip!

So now you know.

COMMENTS

SNOW CONDITIONS

Snow just blankets the valley.

HOLY SNOW!!! It’s been dumping and dumping and dumping. More snow is again expected later this week. Snowmagedan is on in full force.
There is a lot of snow out there people.  A whole freaking lot in some places. Conditions are really good, if not great, pretty much everywhere. More snow is predicted to fall in the mountains, so this snow train is not stopping anytime soon.

I’ve heard this quite a few times recently . . .

Best it’s ever been

as well as this

It’s so good right now

and saw this reply just yesterday:

Went to Breck yesterday. It was the best snow I have seen since I was a kid.

Epic. I know right!

Yea, it doesn’t suck that’s fa sure. It should stay good for a little bit more. So before all the snow is melted and the mountain is closed you should come and check it out for yourself. Closing days have been announced and they are not far off. Get it while it’s good. Before you know it, it will be gone.

LODGING

Creekside @ Beaver Creek; always a great option.

From one guest:

You helped save the day when our lodging options were not up to par.

Caught me sleeping on the job.

There have been so many people who we’ve actually come in contact with this season. Some peeps put me up. Some I shared a day. Some I shared a run. Some just water and bread. Some are for the first time and many we’ve known for years. Most, if not almost all, we call friends. Most share the same passion for winter and life. Some even don’t. Anyway, it’s both fun and rewarding. Getting to know you all a little bit better through mountain life isn’t such a bad way to muddle the time. I look forward to meeting and seeing many more great folks in the future. Thanks for visiting my friends. The season’s not over yet.

Until next time . . .

Thanks again for taking the time to read this blog. I hope you all have a great start/finish to your week. Until next time, love one another and be kind to each other. Get out there, The Thrill of the Mountain is waiting for you. Ski on/ Ride On.
