A few pics over the last few days. There were blue skies and sun everywhere. It’s really good out there. Enjoy my pics. The Thrill of the Mountain is waiting for you.

Jerry’s rays of light always shining through.

Looking down the mountain towards Avon.

Centennial Express Lift, Main face of Beaver Creek Mountain.

A quick Jerry selfie.

Those amazing CO horizons, but where’d the snow go?

Snowshoes, not skis – see I do more than just ski!

McCoy Park. Great snowshoe area.

My tracks heading down mountain.

Looking back up towards the mountain from the Beaver Creek golf course.

Looking good from a distance.

Larkspur bowl in the background.

Back on the slopes.

One of Jerry’s friends.

Oh those mountain horizons!

Come to me Jerry, we are waiting for you.

Beautiful horizon as seen through McCoy Park. Now that’s a nice view.

Views you get to take in during a day snowshoeing.

You have to work for those views though.

Through the woods we go . . .

To see more amazing views . . .

And more . . .

And more . . .

And more . . .

They don’t get old to Jerry.

Ever.

Really?

Yes, really.

Almost done the shoe.

As the moonlight leads me home.

Back to those downhill trails.

And those beautiful Colorado aspens.

Jerry – hmm, seems I am a bit off center.

McCoy Park.

Ski trails cut out of the mountain.

Colorado Blue Bird Day!

If you are not into skiing maybe you should try snowshoeing. If the pictures don’t convince you then you must not like nature! Get out there and give it a try!

Feedback

Reader feedback, comments, emojis and pictures were a bit off so far this week. One week the inbox is overflowing the next not so much. Anyway, we greatly appreciate your feedback and comments. Thanks.

Received this compliment:

Haha I love it!

Thank you. Writing haha reminded me if this conversation I had with an old trading counter-party of mine this past week

Reader: Sick beard

CMM:Its real …at the end you may not have known i was sporting it for like 2 years and my old boss made me shave …Then he fired me …hahah

Reader: Lol. Joke is on him now. Happy to see the life you are living.

I’m not sure what the joke is or was but it worked out for me. Anyway, life is good. Haha.

TREE SKIING

I get asked a lot “Why do you tree ski?” As well as, “Isn’t that dangerous?” Yes, tree skiing can be very dangerous and even fatal. It should only be attempted by experts. And this bears repeating. Never ski or ride above your ability. This terrain is for experts only. Ski and ride here at your own risk. I mean you can die here. These are no fall zones and trees don’t move. No really, they dont’t move. Still don’t believe me, here’s a link to another tree skiing fatality just last weekend.

Skier Dies After Colliding With Tree At Keystone Resort

As someone who tries to mitigate risk, I wish I had a great answer as to why I tree ski. I do know that I continue to be drawn into the woods. I can tell you that it is as peaceful and beautiful as the pictures make it seem!

SNOW CONDITIONS

Resort conditions are good. With each new snowfall conditions just get better. Now is the time people. Closing day will be here before you know it. It’s the best time of the season on the mountain. Fresh powder and blue bird days; Colorado ski life at it’s best. Get out there and enjoy it. Conditions do not get much better than this; ok maybe a little.
